Property values stagnate
Halifax's latest house price index, issued today, has shown the average cost of a home last month was £197,244, just £7,628 more than the same time last year.
Although house price growth has significantly slowed, experts have commented that the Halifax data along with reports from the Nationwide Building Society show that the property market is in fact showing a level of resilience.
