Low inflation paves way for rate cuts.

Economists are predicting further rate cuts in the first quarter of the new year as a consequence of inflation figures remaining stable at 2.1%.

With the Bank of England determind to stave off a crash in the housing market it is expected that they will elect to cut rates by 0.25% in February and again in May.
